Light installation and mapping with quadraphonic sound.

Created at La Creative Mine in Arenberg, this installation contrasts the heavyphysicality of a hydraulic compressor, and the industrial heritage of the Arenberg mining site, with the ethereal nature of light and motion.

Through the use of projected visuals, a false transparency is created, revealing the imagined inner workings of the machine and transforming its massive structure into a delicate, almost weightless presence.

The sound design is built from authentic archival recordings captured in the mine during its operational years. These raw materials were processed using AI tools to transform them into harmonious, contemporary textures. The result is a soundscape that bridges the historical and the modern, the mechanical and the emotional.
