8'33, perception de l’invisible

The installation takes the form of eight vibrating mirrored monoliths and a sensory platform that amplifies the sensation of passing particles. The mirror is a key element of thisinstallation: it serves as the interface between the self and the world, a familiar surface that reflects our own image, our presence. Yet here, this reflection is no longer as stable as it isin our daily lives. It vibrates, becomes blurred, distorted, as if altered by an external force passing through us.

This disruption of the reflection is essential: it creates a rupture in our perception ofourselves. Normally, the mirror offers us a fixed and reassuring image, a stable visualreference. In this installation, it becomes a space of uncertainty, where our own image escapes us. This instability is triggered by vibrations synchronized with our movement through the space, thereby materializing an encounter with an invisible yet omnipresent element: cosmic particles.

The luminous platform amplifies this experience by visually materializing the interaction. Beams of light move beneath our feet, responding to our presence and creating a sensationof luminous undulation that accompanies our movements. Our body thus becomes areceptor of these light flows, casting our shadow into a play of shifting contrasts, as if wewere being traversed by invisible energies.
